New Chapter – It’s a Real Page Turner

We are in a new chapter and if I didn’t know God, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like what is going on.

When covid hit, my husband’s entire industry shut down. He used to do the audio for live events but live events screeched to a halt. That meant so did his income.

He hasn’t worked for two years now. There are some live events going on but in August he got covid and it nearly killed him. We are five months out from his time in the ICU and, while he has recovered much of his abilities, he will never be able to work again.

That was that chapter. Let me tell you about this one.

I was also quite sick and have “long haul covid” now. Not so fun. I wouldn’t recommend it. Anyway, I became the major breadwinner for the family. And, then, God started closing doors.

Our savings are dwindling quickly as I’m doing everything that I can to keep us afloat until some new doors open or some old ones reopen.

So, what is God up to? He hasn’t told me but He doesn’t need to. He is God.

He has the right to prosper us or take everything away. He can allow the enemy to mess with us, almost kill us, put pressure on us but He uses it all to bring good to us.

He alone is wise and sees the entire, eternal picture. I don’t need to.

What I need to do, and I am, is continue to praise Him. I need to continue to make His name great and help others to remove their obstacles to a joyful life with Him.

I need to be vulnerable with you and tell you that God is great no matter our circumstances or yours. I trust Him with my next heartbeat (even though I have to take heart meds every day) and I know that this chapter of life is based on His forever love for us.

When you are in a chapter of life that is not the one you’d like to be in, remember:

  1. God is still in control even of what seems out of control.
  2. God IS love and what He allows in your life is filtered through that love.
  3. He is a trustworthy Father and knows our needs.
  4. He has a plan and is under no obligation to share the details with us.
  5. He has already written the next chapter and what is happening in this one is setting the stage for the next.

We are in the same story. I’ve read the end of the book and it couldn’t finish better.

If you would like to share what God is doing in your life right now, I’d love to hear it. Drop me a line at

“I work with individuals to actually find themselves in Christ and have their lives truly function well in Him. Often I am serving those most hurt by the world – those who have experienced severe trauma and abuse and helping them to find complete healing from the pain and the memories.

I have seen the Lord heal hundreds. Nothing has been too difficult for Him.”
